PAXTONVILLE — A 29-year-old Middleburg man riding his bicycle was seriously injured Thursday evening when a car struck him along Paxtonville Road. State police say Jayson Elliott of Paxtonville hit the cyclist.
The rider, Domenic Haines was thrown to the ground and suffered what troopers said was a ‘suspected serious injury’ to his shoulder. He was taken to Geisinger by Beaver Springs Ambulance.
The crash happened around 7:20pm. State police were assisted at the scene by Reliance Hose Rescue, Reliance Ambulance, and Beavertown EMS. Elliot has been, or will, face a traffic citation, according to state troopers.
